Created over 100 years ago, the BHTA is one of the most established non-for-profit organisations in the UK. It is the trade association for the healthcare and assistive technologies sector, working on behalf of its 400+ members to improve standards and protect consumers.

As members, we pledge to follow its BHTA Code of Practice which is approved by the Chartered Trading Standards Institute (CTSI) Consumer Codes Approval Scheme. At the heart of its mission, this code sets out rigorous rules that members commit to, to give consumers confidence they are purchasing from ethical suppliers.
