Bath Removal & Low-Level Walk-In Shower Installation – Sussex

Mrs C in Sussex was finding her existing bath increasingly difficult to access, making daily bathing uncomfortable and unsafe. Our brief was to remove the bath entirely and replace it with a practical, easy-access shower solution that would improve safety without compromising usability or comfort.

We installed a low-level walk-in shower tray, providing a minimal step-in height to make access significantly easier. To balance accessibility with effective water containment, we fitted an easy-access shower screen alongside a flipper panel, allowing the opening to remain clear while reducing water escape during use.

A drop-down shower seat was added to support seated showering when required, helping to reduce fatigue and improve confidence. For ease of use, a thermostatic shower was installed on the side wall, positioning the controls within comfortable reach while seated and reducing the risk of sudden temperature changes.

To complete the installation, we fitted clean, hygienic wall panels, creating a low-maintenance finish that is easy to keep clean and well suited to everyday use.

The result is a safe, modern walk-in shower that allows the client to bathe independently and comfortably, transforming a difficult bathroom into a practical long-term solution.
