Accessible Wet Room Following Home Adaptation – Loughborough
This project involved transforming an existing downstairs WC and sauna into a fully accessible wet room for Mr and Mrs R in Loughborough. Following a serious fall at home, Mrs R, who lives with Parkinson’s, required a safer, more accessible bathing environment that would support her independence and allow her to continue living comfortably at home.
To create the space, an internal wall was removed, opening up the existing rooms into a spacious level-access wet room. The new layout provides barrier-free access and improved manoeuvrability, making everyday use safer and more practical.
The wet room was finished with Fibo waterproof wall panels and slip-resistant safety flooring, creating a bright, modern environment that is both durable and easy to maintain. Every element of the design was chosen in collaboration with the family to ensure it met their individual needs while providing a stylish finish.
The completed wet room has transformed the way Mr and Mrs R use their home, providing a safe, comfortable and accessible space that supports independent living and gives them greater confidence in their day-to-day routine.
Mr R left us the following feedback:
“When my wife (she has Parkinson’s) fell and was rushed to Addenbrooke’s Hospital with a bleed on the brain, I immediately looked to change our house to make it possible for her to live normally, so I contacted G360 and they responded immediately. They installed a beautiful wet room and their operatives were fantastic. They were so attentive and built a quality wet room. Well done to all.”
